Yes - then you could be a wonderful Carer!

On average in the UK Care Assistants are paid around £19k - £22k per year when working full time. 

At Cera we have lots of opportunities for  overtime shifts and you can earn extra money through our employee referral scheme.  

Full training will be provided to help you to become a brilliant carer! You do not need any previous experience or qualifications to start a care job at Cera.

You will be provided with a tailored Care Plan to follow and update for each care visit you make. Tasks can include: washing, dressing, bathroom visits, meal preparation and ensuring they take their medication. You may also help around the house with tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and washing up. Being a friendly face and companion is also really important!

Cera will pay for a criminal background check (DBS/PVG) before you start working. You should disclose any offences that may appear on this before accepting your offer. This is a regulatory requirement for people working in Care.

A driver's license and access to a vehicle (2 or 4 wheels!) will be essential in most locations so that you can easily travel to visit your customers in their homes. 

You will need to be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK.
The more flexibility you can offer with availability, the more work we can offer you - weekends and evening shifts are usually required within your working pattern.

Personal Care helps customers to maintain their health, hygiene and independence. Tasks can include: washing, dressing, applying creams, bed positioning, foot care, hair and beauty, continence management and using the bathroom.

About working at Cera

Holiday will be prorated based on 28 days inc. public holiday. Cera also offers a 3% Company Pension Scheme.

No experience, no problem! Once you’ve accepted your offer, you will receive the very best training so that you can be confident in your new role. We do this in a number of ways including:  E-learning modules, face to face practical training and induction. We’ll then arrange for you to shadow an experienced Carer to build your confidence. You can ask for more shadowing sessions if you need them before you begin to care for your customers. You’ll complete your nationally recognised Care Certificate in your first 12 weeks. Further training includes the opportunity to join a Cera Health and Social Care apprenticeship programme in England and Wales or an SVQ in Health and Social Care if you are in Scotland. We’ll support you to start this within your first few months of employment!  

Yes! You will receive sets of Cera branded uniforms for free! Depending on your hours, you will start with 2-4 uniforms and we also provide warmer branded items for walkers. We will also supply you with the PPE you need to work safely.  

Our easy to use mobile app for Carers reduces time spent on administrative duties such as shift booking, checking in and reporting so that you can spend more time caring. We ensure that you have all the information you need at your fingertips, so that you can provide better, safer care. 

Our service users and those involved in their care have their own Family App too which means they can see your notes and ask any questions for for support when they need to.

Dependent on your overall availability we offer either part time or full time Guaranteed hour contracts, or flexible zero hour contracts. This will be discussed with you at interview and outlined clearly in your conditional offer.

Cera Care provides support to elderly people or those with additional needs in your community that need help to stay living at home.

Needs can range from companionship to care for those with disabilities or life limiting illnesses.

We’ll aim to keep your visits consistent so that you and your customers get to know each other well.
